Most image jobs come down to changing one of three things: how many bytes the file takes up, how many pixels wide it is, or which format it is saved in. They sound similar and they are not — shrinking the bytes keeps the dimensions, resizing keeps the format, and converting changes the format while leaving the picture alone.

Questions
Do I have to upload my images?
No. Each tool reads the image from your device, works on it in the browser, and gives you the result. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored.
Which is better for the web, WebP or JPG?
WebP is usually 25–35% smaller than an equivalent JPG at the same visual quality, and it supports transparency. JPG is the safer choice when older software has to be able to open the file.
Does converting between formats lose quality?
Converting to a lossless format like PNG preserves exactly what was there. Converting to JPG or WebP compresses with some loss. Converting from JPG to PNG does not restore detail the JPG had already discarded.
What is the difference between resizing and compressing?
Resizing changes the pixel dimensions. Compressing keeps the dimensions and reduces the number of bytes used to describe them. If a site rejects your file for being too large, compress. If it rejects it for being too big in pixels, resize.
Can I remove the location data from a photo?
Yes. Photos usually carry the GPS coordinates, camera model and capture time where they were taken. The Metadata Remover strips all of it out.
Is there a limit on how many images I can process?
No. There is no daily cap and no limit on the number of files. The only constraint is your own device's memory.
