When something goes wrong

Images with flat colours and clear edges work best — logos, icons, stickers, line art and simple illustrations. Detailed photographs will produce a very large file and a stylised, poster-like result.
Why does my SVG look like flat blocks of colour? expand_more
The tracer groups similar colours together and draws each as its own shape. Increasing the colour count and the detail setting captures more nuance, at the cost of a larger file.
Will the SVG open in design software? expand_more
Yes. The output is standard SVG and opens in Illustrator, Figma, Inkscape, Affinity Designer and any modern browser.
Is there a file size limit? expand_more
No fixed limit is imposed by the tool. The practical ceiling is how much memory your device has free, because the whole job runs inside this browser tab.
