Resize signature for SSC online application
Format signature scans to exact 140×60 pixel dimensions (4.0 cm × 2.0 cm) and strict 10 KB to 20 KB file size limits required by the SSC portal.
How it works
Upload signature image
Select a clean image of your signature on white paper.
Crop to 140×60 px
The tool formats the signature to the exact 4.0×2.0 cm aspect ratio.
Clamp to 10–20 KB
Strict size limits prevent portal rejection for being under 10 KB or over 20 KB.
The picture never leaves your device
Compressing or converting a photo usually means sending it to somebody else's computer and getting a new one back. Here the work happens in the page you are already looking at: your browser opens the file, the tool rewrites it, and the browser hands you the result.
- Opened from your disk by your browser — not sent anywhere first.
- Held in the tab while the tool works, then dropped.
- Saved to your device by your browser, not by a link to a server.
- Closing the tab clears the working copy completely.
- No account, so nothing is ever attached to an identity.
- No tracking of what you worked on or what was inside the file.
There is no queue and no waiting room. The picture is worked on in front of you and released the moment the tab closes. You can read more about how the conversion runs on your own device, or check our guide to verifying it in DevTools.
What people use it for
Shipping a lighter page
Hero images are usually the heaviest thing on a site. Getting them smaller before they reach your CMS is the fastest performance win available.
Sending photos on a weak signal
On hotel Wi-Fi or a poor mobile connection a full-resolution photo can sit at sending for minutes. A smaller copy goes through in seconds.
Preparing marketplace listings
Selling platforms set their own caps on size and dimensions. Get inside them before you start filling in the form.

When something goes wrong
Damaged files, and formats outside the list above, stop with a plain message rather than a spinner that never finishes. If a picture opens in your gallery it will normally open here.
The format is not supported. Convert it to PNG or JPG first, or try one of the other image tools.
Why not an upload site
An upload-based tool is a form that posts your picture to someone else's machine. Take that step out and a lot of small annoyances disappear with it.

Questions
What are the SSC signature size and dimension rules?
The SSC portal requires dimensions of roughly 140×60 pixels (4.0 cm × 2.0 cm) and file size strictly between 10 KB and 20 KB in JPEG format.
Why does the SSC portal reject signatures under 10 KB?
The government validation server enforces both a minimum floor of 10 KB and a maximum ceiling of 20 KB to prevent illegible low-resolution scans.
Is my signature kept secure?
Yes. All image processing runs locally in your browser sandbox. Your signature is never transmitted or stored anywhere.
Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit is imposed by the tool. The practical ceiling is how much memory your device has free, because the whole job runs inside this browser tab.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes, once the page has loaded. Nothing is fetched while you work, so a dropped connection does not interrupt a run.
Do I need an account or an email address?
No. There is nothing to sign up for, and nothing is ever attached to an identity because no file leaves your device.
