Take the audio out of a video
Turn a clip into a sound file you can keep. Your browser reads the video from your disk, pulls the soundtrack out, and hands you the audio back.
How to extract audio in three steps
Choose your video
Drag it onto the page or browse from your desktop or phone. MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM and AVI are all accepted.
Pick a format and quality
MP3, AAC and FLAC let you choose a bitrate. WAV and FLAC keep everything, so the quality picker steps aside.
Save the audio
Listen to it in the page first if you like, then save it straight to your device. The original video stays where it was.
What happens to your file
It never leaves the tab
Extracting audio usually means sending a video to somebody else's computer and waiting for a sound file to come back. Here the work happens in the page you are already looking at. Your browser opens the file, the tool separates the soundtrack, and the browser hands you the result.
- Opened from your disk by your browser — not sent anywhere first.
- Held in the tab while the tool works, then dropped.
- Saved to your device by your browser, not by a link to a server.
- Closing the tab clears the working copy completely.
- No account, so no file is ever attached to an identity.
- Nothing is recorded about what you converted.
Why not an upload site
An upload-based converter is a form that posts your video to someone else's machine. Take that step out and a lot of small annoyances disappear with it.

Choosing a format
MP3 is the safe choice for anything you want to play anywhere. WAV and FLAC keep every detail and produce much larger files. Leave "keep the original audio" on and the soundtrack is carried across exactly when the chosen format allows it, which is both faster and cleaner.
