Why we built Filezaar

How it works — and why it is different

For years, a simple conversion meant uploading private photos, contracts and large videos to a computer you could not see. There is a better way: let your own device do the work.

01

It opens in your browser

When you choose or drop a file, your browser reads it directly from your device. It never travels across the internet and it is never stored on a server.

02

The work happens on your device

The tools run in the same tab you are already looking at. Your computer or phone does the work, so there is no queue and no waiting room.

03

The result is saved to your device

Your browser saves the finished file straight to your downloads folder. No countdown timers, no email queue, no line to stand in.

Filezaar vs. an upload site

The difference is one step: whether your file leaves the room.

A typical upload site

Your file is copied to a server you cannot see.
You wait for the upload, then wait again for the download.
Size caps come from a pricing tier, not your hardware.
A retention policy decides how long the copy lives.
Private documents pass through infrastructure you did not choose.

Filezaar

The file is opened on your device and stays there.
No transfer at all, so no waiting on one.
The ceiling is your own machine, not a plan.
Close the tab and the working copy stops existing.
Contracts, medical scans and unreleased work never leave the room.

Questions people actually ask

Can Filezaar or anyone else see my files?

No. When you convert a track, compress a PDF or resize a photo, the data stays in the tab you opened. There is no upload, no storage and no processing queue on our side, so there is nothing for us to look at.

How can this run inside a browser at all?

Modern browsers are far more capable than they used to be. They can read a file, do real work on it and hand back a new one without ever contacting a server. Filezaar simply leans on that instead of sending your file away.

Are there file size limits or daily quotas?

We do not set a size cap or a daily quota. What you can process depends on your own device and how much room your browser has to work in — a phone will tap out earlier than a laptop.

Does Filezaar work offline?

Yes. Once a tool has loaded once, you can disconnect and keep using it. Nothing about the work you do needs a connection.

Independent craftsmanship

Built by a student developer

Filezaar is made by Aayush, a student developer who wanted free, private web tools without paywalls, pop-ups or a server in the middle.

"Working with papers, project assets and media files every day, I got tired of watching simple converters trap people behind paywalls and quietly upload their private files."

"I built Filezaar to show what a modern browser can do on its own. Everything runs on your machine, which is the whole point."

Try it on a file you would not upload anywhere else.

Compress a video, merge a contract, shrink a photo. Watch the network panel while you do it — it stays quiet.
