Free online PDF tools

Merge, split, compress and export PDFs without uploading them. Every tool runs on your own device, so your documents never leave it.

PDFs are the format everyone has to deal with and nobody chose. They arrive in the wrong order, they are too large to attach to an email, they contain one page you need out of forty, or someone has asked for the pages as images instead.

Because documents tend to be more sensitive than holiday photos, the upload step is the part worth avoiding. Contracts, invoices, medical letters and signed forms all end up as PDFs, and sending one to an unfamiliar server to be processed and deleted hours later is a real exposure. These tools do the work in the tab instead, and they are free with no watermark and no page limit.

Questions

Do I have to upload my PDF?

No. The document is read from your device, processed in the browser, and written back to you. It is never transmitted.

Will compressing make the text unselectable?

Not with the lighter setting, which rebuilds the file structurally and leaves text selectable and searchable. The stronger setting re-renders pages as images to get the smallest possible file, and that does remove selectable text.

Is there a page limit?

No. There is no cap on pages or on the number of files you process. Very large documents are limited by your device's memory rather than by us.

Can I reorder pages before merging?

Yes. Add the files in the order you want them, or drag to rearrange before you run it.

How do I split a PDF by page range?

Open Split PDF, choose the pages or ranges you want, and you get a new document containing only those pages. The original file is left untouched.

Are these PDF tools free?

Yes — free to use, with no watermark on the output and no daily limit.
