When something goes wrong
Damaged files, and formats outside the list above, stop with a plain message rather than a spinner that never finishes. A clip that plays in your player will almost always open here.
The container or the video track is not one the browser can read. Try converting it to MP4 first, or use a different copy of the file.
Why not an upload site

A fast cut copies the original video data without re-encoding it, so the picture is bit-for-bit identical to the source. A frame-accurate cut re-encodes the clip, which is what allows the cut to land on an exact moment rather than the nearest keyframe.
Why did my fast cut start slightly earlier or later than I asked? expand_more
A fast cut can only begin at a keyframe — a complete reference frame that the following frames depend on. The cut therefore snaps to the nearest one. If you need exact timing, choose the frame-accurate mode instead.

There is no fixed limit. What matters is your device's available memory, because the whole clip is handled locally in the browser.

No fixed limit is imposed by the tool. The practical ceiling is how much memory your device has free, because the whole job runs inside this browser tab.
