When something goes wrong
Corrupt files, and formats outside the list above, stop with a plain message rather than a spinner that never finishes. If a track plays in your music app it will normally open here.
The audio container is not one the browser can read. Convert it to MP3 or WAV first, then run it through again.
Why not an upload site

It depends on the content. Speech stays clear down to 64 kbps in mono. Music generally needs at least 128 kbps to remain pleasant, and 96 kbps or below becomes noticeably dull.
What does the loudness evening option do? expand_more
It raises quiet passages and lowers loud ones so the overall volume is more consistent. This is useful for podcasts and lectures, but it changes the original dynamics.
Will compressing a WAV to MP3 lose quality? expand_more
Yes, but by an amount you choose. MP3 is a lossy format, so some detail is discarded. At 192 kbps or above, most listeners cannot tell the difference in everyday listening.
